Beginner Guide To Run Truco Offline Blitz Card Game

Play Truco Classico Offline Card Games: Paulista & Mineiro Blitz 2026. Truco is a popular card game in Venezuela & Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. There are several variations of the game, but here we will focus on the Brazilian version, known as Truco Paulista or Truco Mineiro.

Objective: The goal of the game is to be the first be the first reach to score the required number of points for the match (e.g., 3, 6, 9, or 12) through several rounds.

Players:
- Number of Players: 2 players.
- Deck: A 40-card Spanish deck is used, or a standard 52-card deck with the 8, 9, and 10 removed.
Cards and Value: The cards have specific values, ordered from strongest to weakest:

1. Manilhas (the strongest cards): These are determined by the value of the face-up card after the deck is cut. Manilhas are the cards that have a value one higher than the face-up card. For example, if the face-up card is 7, the trump cards are the 4s (4 of clubs, 4 of hearts, etc.). The order of strength of the trump cards is: 4 of clubs (Zap), 7 of hearts, Ace of spades (Espadão), 7 of diamonds.
2. Normal Cards: Ordered from strongest to weakest: 3, 2, A, K (King), J (Jack), Q (Queen), 7 (except the 7 of hearts), 6, 5, 4 (except the 7 of clubs)

Basic Rules

1. Dealing: Each player receives 3 cards. One card from the top of the deck is turned face up to determine the trump card.
2. Rounds: The game is played in Match. Each Match consists of up to 3 rounds, and the player or team that wins two of the three rounds wins the Match.
3. Truco: At any time, a player can call "Truco," challenging their opponent, the winner score 3 points at the end of the round.

How to Play a Match

1. First Round: The player to the right of the dealer starts by playing a card. The remaining players follow clockwise, each playing a card. The highest card wins the round.
2. Second Round: The player who won the first round starts the second round.
3. Third Round If necessary, the third round is played in the same way.

Point Counting
- The winner of a round score 1 point.
- If a Truco call is accepted, the round will score at 3 points, and so on.
Strategy and Tips
1. Truco: this is an essential part of Truco. Deceiving your opponents can cause them to fold winnable round.
2. Memorization: Remembering the cards played is crucial to anticipating your opponents' moves.
